P eter Methven started his funeral career in 1976. After graduating from the University of Minnesota he purchased the Tatting Funeral Home in Hinckley, Minnesota from his great uncle, Don Tatting. In 1982 he purchased the Larson Funeral Home in Sandstone, Minnesota, and in 1983 he purchased the Dresser Funeral Home in Mora, Minnesota.

Tim Taylor started his funeral career at the age of 17. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, he moved to Sandstone and managed the Methven Funeral Home.

In 1994 Peter Methven and Tim Taylor became business partners, and purchased the Miller- Columbia Heights Funeral Home.

Our simple idea was to bring small town funeral service to the big city.

With the success of this idea we have gone on to purchase the Blaine Chapel (1996), the Miller-Brighton Chapel (1997), the Anoka Chapel (1998), and the O.E. Larson-Osborne Mortuary (2003). We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to meet the special needs of each family. We find it a privilege to serve each family with personal care.
